We provide landowners selling timber with the knowledge and background information needed to make educated decisions with respect to their timber.

The professionals of Cross Creek Timber take great pride in the level of service and support they provide through every step of the timber sales process.
Steven D. Smith, Founder and President
Steven graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Forest Resource Management in 1993 and became a licensed forester in the state of South Carolina in 1995 (SC Lic. #1444).
Steven’s extensive knowledge and experience in the timber industry gives landowners access to the best possible markets for their timber products. Steven is also a licensed real estate professional with Cross Creek Realty, LLC assisting both buyers and sellers in real estate transactions.
Alan Brockington, Operations Manager
Alan Brockington, Realtor®, is a Clemson University graduate, holding a BS in Forest Resource Management. He is TOP trained by the South Carolina Forestry Commission and is active in the South Carolina Timber Producers Association. Alan is also a licensed real estate professional with Cross Creek Realty, LLC.
Our Crews and Contractors
The timber crews and logging contractors used by Cross Creek Timber are professionally trained and TOP (Timber Operations Professional) certified by the South Carolina Foresty Commission. To be TOP certified, loggers and foresters are required to participate in yearly continuing education courses.
They are also covered by both workers compensation and general liability insurance, which protects you, the landowner, if an accident happens.
